Immigration & Permanent Residency in The Bahamas

The Bahamas offers an inviting lifestyle and is open to welcoming new residents from around the world. If you wish to call the islands home, you’ll need to secure legal residency through one of the established programs.

As a visitor, you may stay in The Bahamas for up to two months. Within this period, you can submit an application for residency. The two primary residency options are:

  • Annual Residence Permit
  • Permanent Residence Permit

Both options require an application, relevant documents, and payment of the associated fees.

Please note: residency status allows you to live in The Bahamas, but it does not authorize employment. If you intend to work, you must obtain a separate work permit.
